We're in Perth now after two really, really relaxing weeks in Walpole.
Our two weeks in Walpole were spent just fishing or relaxing so it was a lovely "holiday". The fish were a bit scacer than last year, but we managed to catch and freeze a few feeds of whiting, bream and flat head. I caught a 40cm bream (1cm smaller than my best effort last year) and Russ a big flat head, but we didn't see a snapper or tarwhine.
It was starting to get a bit cool down there but it made sleeping at night wonderful. We had a great site tucked in the trees and it made sleeping late of a morning good too.
We got to Perth on Tuesday 1st and had dinner with Mick, Todd, Verity and Dan. It was great to see them all again. Wenesday Russ took Todd to the Airport at 6.30am so he could fly to Adelaide for a wedding-leaving us home alone.
Yesterday we went over to Dan, Verity and Mick's place. It's so close to here which is good. They are renting in a nice suburb-Trigg and have quite a nice duplex. Dan and Verity have a gorgeous 4 month old German shepherd puppy Hercules who is a real cutey. Dan bought a couple of ducks yesterday and brought them over here too cook a delicious dinner for the 5 of us last night. I can't believe how much I'm enjoying having both my boys close after so many years.
